Sophie Katz is a prisoner in Terezin concentration camp, doing her best to survive. Resigned to the fact that her life will end there, she is taken aback by the appearance of her grandfather. His arrival precipitates Sophie into an adventure that will change her life and the outcome of the war that has destroyed the lives of many innocents.

To save her life she is transported to an alternate realm filled with magic. Being a chemist with a strong belief in science, it is difficult for her to accept what has happened to her and the magic that she is almost immediately able to conjure.

On her journey she meets many interesting characters; from golems to a talking raven to dwarfs, goblins, fairies and other magical creatures. She also meets a man that will become an integral part of her life. Logan, a Scottish Druid warrior cursed to become a werewolf during the full moon.

Sophie is dismayed to find that in this realm there is a parallel evil that is trying to rid all good magic and use evil magic to control the world. Instead of Nazi's they are called the Guild, complete with a Hitler doppelgänger, and Sophie is high on their list of enemies.

The Stone Of The Tenth Realm is one of the most unique romances I've read. It is an amalgam of historical romance, fantasy, and faith. At 484 pages it is an out of this world saga that is sure to please any who read it. Those of you that are searching for something that is fantastic, have only to pick up a copy of this book to find what you are seeking.
